Hello everyone, I’m currently 20 with no credit whatsoever..I decided to look up my free anualcredit report for free just for fun today and it said it could not look up my records because it gave me a weird question stating that I have made a mortgage loan in 2006 (when I was 16 at the time).. and wanted me to answer a bunch of questions in which I answered with none of the above"..and then I went to the next page where it said I could not look up my records..I tried with all 3 credit report sites and it had the same results..I tried this last year and it worked but now it’s not..am I a vicitim of identity theft or something? I had 9-11 credit cards that were close to being maxed out. I borrowed 16K and paid them all off to a zero balance. i also ripped up the cards but didnt close the accounts. Technically I still owe 16K but not to my credit union as opposed to various cards.
